So far my favorite meal in D.C. Centrolina pleasantly surprised me with exceptional plate after plate.
As appetizers we had a burrata accompanied with sweet potato and grilled onions that perfectly complimented it; and a grilled octopus that was a little too spicy for my taste, but still great. For our entrées we ordered pumpkin agnolotti with butter and sage, and an exceptional duck breast with tuscan kale and pancetta. My favorite part was definitely the dessert, a pignoli tart with olive oil gelato, and an additional order of prosecco gelato because I just couldn’t resist the curiosity of this creative ice cream flavor. The menu changes almost weekly, and the place also has a charming mercato with fresh pasta and other things. Everything was excellent, counting the days to go back.
