Primavista

Hellooo my hungry readers. Sorry it has taken me so long to write this post but to say that this summer has been messier than expected would be an understatement. But I’m not here to get all personal about my life, I’m here to talk about my “last supper” in Cincy.

My boss clearly knew she had a foodie for an intern when she decided to take me to Primavista for our goodbye dinner. And not just any kind of dinner… Italian, very good Italian.

So good in fact we had to try pretty much everything.

We started with the bruschette with goat cheese and honey, that were simply delicious.

We then proceeded to what’s always my favorite part in any Italian restaurant: pasta

My favorite dish was the gnocchi. They were perfectly complemented by pancetta, peas, sage butter, and a touch of pepper and Reggiano. We had a second pasta dish, the Penne with Artichokes and Pancetta which were great as well but to this point we were trying to save some room for the risotto (which was flawless), entrées, and dessert, don’t judge us… We took home lots of leftovers for my sister.

As an entrée I had the Filet Mignon which was perfectly done and accompanied by Parmesan polenta, asparagus, mushrooms, and arugula.

Finally we ended our dinner like all dinners should end: with Tiramisu. Fun fact about myself, my mom is from Treviso, where Tiramisu was born, so in my house we take Tiramisi very seriously. Primavista didn’t disappoint, they have an exceptional Tiramisu and we also had a fresh lemon sorbet to end our meal.

There was definitely no better way to end my internship than with an exquisite dinner with a view of the Cincinnati Skyline. Cincinnati was a great experience where I got to learn and grow (and eat!) a lot and I hope to come back soon.

I’m now back home in Caracas taking care of the “messy” part of my summer. Follow my #ilpiattonegoeshome experience on my Instagram @ilpiattone and expect a post coming soon!

Buon Appetito,

Oriana.
